Interview, Nibal AbuRish
Wadee: Hello Nibal, you look very happy which is good to
make a short interview about the visit, shall we?
Nibal: Hi wade, I am happy, sure! Yes let’s make it.
Wadee: Well, thank you! Tell me about the visit and your
thoughts about?
Nibal: The visit was excellent from the time we have
arrived to the residential, there was very warm welcoming, we were very happy
there. There are lots of meeting and workshops.
I believe that the ‘English Day’ was very successful. We
met a lot of people who took us to their schools with our ideas and minds.
And we in the “Palestinian Day’, we showed a lot of stuff,
problems we are facing, also we clarified the points and issues of human rights
to let them know how much we suffer in Palestine, even inside the school, the
class itself, the student him/herself, there is a big suffering.
We showed out culture, customs and traditions, our big history in Palestine, our daily life.
We moved the next day to schools which hosted us for one day, in my case, I went to ((chester)) primary school in the morning, I visited the children branch (under 10 years), very qualified schools which have huge facilities, to learn the children, to motivate them and to raise their abilities to work.
I went to a secondary school as well, for me as a secondary teacher I found a big similarity, yes, technology here is more used and applied, but same problems as they are teenagers, student is student anywhere.
After we came here to Camden, I went to Camden Girls School, they welcomed me warmly, Rafida was among the best if not number one, she was powerful and wonderful; she joined me in each single tour in the school. I talked about my school and my country in each class I entered, I talked about Jerusalem and the parts have been separated from Jerusalem, the teachers there were very active.
I faced some political questions but I answered them in humanity way not politically.
I was very happy in the accommodation, because we had the chance to see the British lifestyle inside and in details. People here are lovely, I have never met somebody who does not want to listen or to deal with me.
Wadee: what classes you had the chance to enter and talk in?

Wadee: what classes you had the chance to enter and talk in?
Nibal: I entered most of the classes, History, Geography, Mathematics, Philosophy, Science but not the English class!!
Wadee: very good, how successful is the visit in your opinion?
Nibal: Very successful if we continue the action plan based
on what we already planned for, we must continue.
And we met Palestinians here who we have no chance to meet
with in Palestine, ..
Wadee: Thank you so much, you spoke about everything, that’s
fruitful, Enjoy!
Interview, Mo'in AbuHilal
An Interview with Mr. Mo'in AbuHilal about the Teachers' Visit 2016
Wadee: Mr. AbuHilal, hope the visit program is going well
and I hope you are enjoying London now, could you tell me what are the goals of
this visit?
AbuHilal: Thank you Wadee, yes of course, the first goal is
to exchange the experience with British teachers who are ages ago in this field
and we must get the experience because the education systems are very modern
here. At the same time we want to show the Palestinian side and problems we
face in Palestine based on that we have a message not only the education but
also they have to know what problems we are facing as Palestinians. And because
this is a great country we are going to spread our message through these
teachers because they are teaching and talking to a new huge generation of
students which might make them in the future aware of our issues, this a very
important goal for me.
Wadee: Well, that’s impressive and enthusiastic; tell me how
you can evaluate the visit in general?
AbuHilal: In my opinion, in general the visit is fantastic
and informative, but the evaluation will be done when a real twinning is going
to be done and by the continuity of this work and the experience exchange. And
In sha’ Allah we will be ready and happy to welcome the British teachers in
Palestine to show them the education in Palatine.
Wadee: Thank you very much Mr. Mo’in, hope everything will
be going well. Enjoy!
