Palestinian teachers' strike + political pressure on schools in Britain.
Since the teachers met in January, our Palestinian friends in the government schools have been through a long strike (4 weeks) which has been major news in Palestine.
Meanwhile in Britain the government is trying to make every school into an 'academy' - which means taking it out of local education authority control and opening the door to privatising them all.
