In October last year we were part of a delegation of teachers who visited Palestine to build links between our schools in the UK and schools in the West Bank. Our visit was organised by CADFA (Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association). CADFA’s link began in 2003 when people from the London borough of Camden made links with people in Abu Dis - a town in the Jerusalem suburbs.
To help raise money and awareness for this project, a group of us plan to eventually cycle the entire length of the separation wall which is approximately 420 miles long. We are starting in April by cycling 200 miles from London to Cardiff. We will be cycling around 50 miles a day, over four days.
We hope that, by cycling, we can help to raise awareness of the human rights issues facing the children we met in Palestinian schools as well as their families. We also want to raise money to enable CADFA’s work to continue - we are hoping to return to Palestine this summer to run a summer camp in Abu Dis.
We really appreciate any sponsorship and support you can offer.
Thaaaanks,
Megan, Anna & Tom xoxo
