Palestinian teachers began their journey to the UK today! Wishing them a good and safe journey! We heard that the wait on the 'bridge' between Palestine and Jordan was very long today, but hope that the rest of the journey goes very well.
We are not sure that LIna is going to make it: her mother was taken to hospital - we hope it's not too serious but we don't know. WISHING HER ALL THE BEST. If Lina can get to Jordan by the time of the flight, then she will join the group - We expect to know more tomorrow.
Gospel Oak teachers shouldn't worry however... We have an idea we can discuss if Lina cannot come this time ... Let's see anyway and we'll meet tomorrow at the residential.
As for my personal start to this project, on the way to meet you all at the residential - here is a picture showing some of it - I will tell you more when I meet you (but don't worry, all will be well!).
The weather has turned colder but it shouldn't be too rainy I hope this week... Cleobury Mortimer is certainly wet but not flooded...
Tomorrow the Palestinian teachers will make their way via Heathrow, and UK teachers will meet them in Shropshire for the beginning of 10 days of workshops and school visits and activities to support school links between UK and Palestine.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a good start to this project!
